Michigan Rustic Backyard Wedding Hesperia, Michigan | Jess & Jay

On a crisp, breezy day in October, Jay and Jess were married at a family members farm house. The land was beautiful! The house was nestled on a small lake surrounded by the colors of Fall. Their ceremony was held outside by the lake under a pretty arbor with a flower garland on top.

Jess’s dress was stunning! She had beautiful layers of lace and sparkle that reminded us of a woodland fairy. Jess and Jay both wrote their own vows and recited them to each other during the ceremony. It was heartfelt and sweet with a bit of humor that really showed their personalities. After the couple shared their first kiss their guests showered them in dried flowers and leaves.

After the ceremony guests were welcomed into the nearby pole barn and large tent to enjoy warm cider and donuts. There was also a large bounce house for the kids the enjoy and maybe a few adults to--- (including the whole bridal party.) We took the bridal party for some photos by the corn fields and grape vines. The bridal party was awesome to work with!

We then took the bride and groom for some more intimate photos in a cozy field by the corn. Their love for each other really shined in this moment and we were so happy to capture it! The reception began and dinner was ready. Jess and Jay offered their guests delicious pulled pork, smoked chicken, cheesy potatoes, and coleslaw.

After dinner the best man and maid of honor both did a funny and heartfelt speech. To kick the reception off the couple did a ski shot and then went to every table to take a photo with their guests. Then the dancing began! They started with the couples first dance which was super cute! They sang to each other the whole time. Then Jesse shared a dance with her mother and Jay with his.

Then the decade dance followed by the dollar dance. We were then able to steal the couple away for a short sunset photo and cigar break. The sunset was breathtaking over the corn and the newly married couple! The party was really starting to take off when the couple got back to the dancefloor, and we have some amazing photos to prove it! We ended the night with a photo of the couple with our light up love sign on the dancefloor and of course a selfie!

We are so excited for your love story to continue and grow! Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Manfreda!
