Henderson Castle Kalamazoo, Michigan Summer Wedding | Simone & Craig
Updated: Sep 14
Simone & Craig were married at The Henderson Castle in Kalamazoo, Michigan on a beautiful day in August. The rain held off until late in the afternoon allowing for the sun to peak out of the clouds as they said their vows. It was a gorgeous ceremony under the gazebo garden with a view of the castle!
Once the ceremony was complete, we went up to the rooftop to document signing the marriage license, it's official! The building was built in the 1800's and has antique furniture and décor everywhere... So many spaces for gorgeous portraits of the bride and groom!
I absolutely loved working with the video team for their big day! Jeremy and Emily at Jarmax Productions did an amazing job making sure everything was perfect for the couple. The most memorable part of the day was the pre-ceremony messages the bride and groom recorded to each other. It was so sweet!
Dinner and cake were held downstairs in the castle, and we moved up to the ballroom for dancing. Simone & Craig danced to their favorite band, Motley Crue! You could see Craig singing to his new wife and the love in their eyes!
Once the night was over the rain began! This meant I had one more idea in mind. With the help of the video team, we created some amazing art for the couple! They were up for getting soaked so I had them stand under my clear umbrella for a backlit rain silhouette portrait they can hang in their house!
We wish this amazing couple many years of happiness and love! Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Vanderbosch!
