Peaceful Valley Farm Battle Creek, Michigan Boho Summer Wedding | Brittany & Adam

Updated: Sep 14

On a very warm summer day in August, Adam and Brittany married at Peaceful Valley Farm in Battle Creek, Michigan.

Brittany made all the décor herself including the flowers! She incorporated creams, blush, and greenery into her very boho chic wedding. Her dress from Memories Bridal matched her vision perfectly with exquisite lace details on the bodice and train, which paired well with Adam’s tweed suit.

The venue the couple chose is owned by Tarin and Cody (who purchased the property the previous year) making Adam and Brittany the first couple to get married at Peaceful Valley Farm! The farm is set on 75 acres of rolling hills, stunning gardens, and a beautiful red barn with lots of vintage flare. There’s a very swanky space below the barn for the bride to get ready that includes multiple rooms, a piano, and a vintage staircase. They also have a cute little airconditioned building for the groom to get ready!

When we first arrived, we met up with Brittany who was getting ready in the barn’s basement with her mom (who already had tears in her eyes). You could tell they had an amazing relationship, and it was so heartwarming to see. You know when you meet people, and you just get a good vibe from them? That was Brittany and her mom. They made us feel like family!

Brittany wanted to share a special moment with her father before the ceremony, so we set up a fathers first look which was adorable! We then set up a first look with her and Adam next to the gardens. It was emotional and sweet.

Their ceremony was held outside under a beautiful hexagon shaped arbor with flowers and an elegant macrame draping. The ceremony was emotional with lots of tears from their family and friends, and especially the groom. You could tell this was a long time coming and he was really into the moment. Such an amazing moment to witness!

The reception was held inside the vintage inspired barn where the guests ate a delicious meal then Adam and Brittany shared their first dance. Brittany then danced with her father and Adam with his mother. Adam and Brittany have two adorable, young boys together who they also danced with. There were lots of cute kids at this wedding and they definitely took over the dance floor!

After the dances we thought it was important that the bride’s mom deserved a special moment with her daughter. We set up a cute little portrait of Brittany and her mom under the veil. It was short and sweet but totally worth it!

The farm has unbelievably beautiful gardens especially at golden hour and so that’s where we decided to take Adam and Brittany next. The garden is like a labyrinth with stone walkways, multiple vined arbors, and stunning flowers! It was the perfect place to end such an enchanted day.

Adam and Brittany, it was such a joy to photograph your wedding, and even though it was very humid everyone made us feel so welcome and appreciated. We wish you two nothing but the best!

Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Keys!
